WOTTON’s young guns shot down Yate with a six-goal display to maintain their unbeaten run.
A brace each from Sam Butter and Callum Niddrie were boosted by Dave Holt and Chris Barton to finish off the home team.
Wotton led 2-1 thanks to Butter’s reverse stick shot after Richard Goodwin’s assist before a majestic run down the right from Holt saw Butter grab his second.
With man of the match Hayden Brewer running rings round the opposition and making inroads down the right, Wotton stepped up the pace and won two short corners early in the second half.
Captain Benjy Wells shot both times and Niddrie was on the end of both to take the visitors into a 4-1 lead.
With Tim and Stuart Saunderson and Matt Wong providing ‘experience’ and solidity at the back, Wotton were never in real danger and Goodwin provided the midfield go-forward to build on.
This they duly did and with Goodwin providing the assist for Holt’s goal and Wells cheekily nicking the ball from an opposition free hit on the edge of the D to give Barton the final coffin nail, Yate were truly buried.
