History was made as the brand spanking new Ladies' 3rd XI team played their first league match. Captain Ming Green got noticed for her motivating enthusiasm that impressed the opposition's supporters. There was so much fun had, with end to end action and some great teamwork.

Great to watch, fantastic work rate and brilliant team spirit, and despite the end score, everyone agreed that hockey was the winner, with excitement for the season ahead.

Notable performances from Hesper "But I've Never Played Hockey" Brewer, Debut Ally Bryson. Others include 'Newbies' Claire Morton, Jane Pascoe and Rhian Witham.
