A preview of this weekend’s matches at the field of dreams...(and beyond) - another belter of a weekend in prospect:

“SUPER” SATURDAY! Part Deux (21 March)
The Men’s 1st XI are on centre stage at New Road this Saturday at 2pm. 2nd place Wotton take on table toppers Hereford, one of only two teams to have beaten our boys in the league this year. A title decider in their last game of the season – does it get any better than that? Following last week’s defeat away to Cardiff Uni, Alistair Hammond’s boys need to WIN the game to take the ‘De Cymru & Marches 1’ league title on goal difference; yes – its that close! Come down, bring the noise and be part of the #bluearmy for the day.

As ever, the support acts are high quality too. VMC’s ladies 2nd XI take on Bristol & West at 1030, two narrow wins for the blues in the previous two meetings between the sides this year so should be a cracker! You are allowed lunch after that but be sure to return after the Mens 1s game to see the Mens 3rd XI take on Bourton in their final league game of a memorable season.

Meanwhile, on the road:
Jasmine George’s Ladies 1s travel to local rivals Yate looking to return to winning ways and secure the league title after a shock defeat last week.
Mens 2s travel North to the sub-zero temperatures of the racecourse to take on Hereford HC in their last game of the season having been crowned champions last Saturday.
The Boys u16s badgers travel to old rivals Gloucester City in their last game in the Badgers Circle (though there is an u14s game next week)

HOME (New Rd/KLB)
Ladies 2s v Bristol & West (1030)
Mens 1s v Hereford (1400)
Mens 3s v Bourton & Sherborne (1530)

AWAY
Ladies 1s v Yate (1300)
Mens 2s v Hereford (1400)
Badgers v Glos City (1030)

One league title down, two to go? Bring it home...

STILL WANT MORE? OK THEN, SUNDAY (22 March):
More action at the Field of Dreams...
Wotton Wolfcubs (u8s)entertain Dursley HC at 1400.

What a club - Good luck everybody and enjoy the weekend!
