Details of our latest upcoming social/fundraiser...

Following on from the success of the Quiz Night in January, WuE HC’s second annual race night will be held on SATURDAY 19th MARCH at KINGSWOOD VILLAGE HALL.

Doors open at 7:30PM with the first race 8pm.

What is a Race Night??! Well it’s a fun evening socialising with club members where films of horse races are shown and you bet on the outcome. The races are random and have not been seen before so there is no need to study the form guide! You just pick a number between 1 and 8, put a few bets on at the club tote and if your horse comes in you win a share of the winnings, the rest of the pot goes to the club.

Before the event ‘horses’ will be on sale from team fundraising reps at games and training, (Lauren Leyland, Henry Patteson, Callum Niddrie & Kath Edwards). If you become a horse owner not only do you get your entry to this event you also get a chance at a spot prize. There are only 64 horses so for a chance of being allowed on the winners circle act fast! Horses cost £5.

If you miss out on owning a horse, regular entry is £2 a ticket, and these will be available as soon as they are back from the print shop.

Don’t miss out, this is a strictly ticket only event due to the capacity restrictions on the hall, and open over 16s due to the betting side (though if you are just shy of this and regularly play seniors then we are happy to be flexible if you are accompanied by a team-mate or responsible adult). Parents of juniors, supporters, friends and non-members very welcome.

There will be a Hog Roast from Cam Family Butchers so come hungry, and the bar at the hall will also be available. A facebook event will be set up for this but don’t forget to buy your ticket!!!

If you or the company you work for, or a friend with a business would like to sponsor a race please contact NEIL FORSYTH directly via email at neil1476@gmail.com

Cheers
Neil.

PS - please bring plenty of change, all bets will be £1, and you can make as many as you like!
