Further to my previous note and with specific regard to UMPIRING: please see the below sent via Umpires Coordinator Steve Dexter:

On MONDAY 3rd OCTOBER 2016 the following two events will take place:
Both at North Nibley Village Hall

19:15 - 20:15 INTRODUCTION TO THE RULES OF HOCKEY
This will be a short evening for younger players, parents and inexperienced members/back to hockey members who want to brush up and learn about the modern rules to hockey.

20:15 - 21:00 UMPIRES BRIEFING/WORKSHOP
This will be for all club PQ, L1 or L2 umpires who want to attend to ask each other questions about any rules, chat about umpiring and for any players or parents who are considering becoming an umpire or want to do the umpire course so they can discuss it with current umpires.

Please every effort to attend if you can, I’m sure this will be beneficial.

This will may well be followed up by an ‘in-club’ umpires course, with the aim being to increase our number of qualified umpires; when this comes to fruition we will be looking for representatives from senior XIs to get qualified in order to share the workload.

*** Also, please remember that due a careers event at KLB tonight (THURS 22 SEPT), there will be no hockey or rugby parking at the Sports Hall. Please park near to the pitch via the New Rd/Skate Park side (gate will be open) and walk to pitch ***
