(& end of season league round up)

A hat trick from Nina Blackburn helped Wotton’s 1st XI to a 6-0 away win over Newent last Saturday, a result which guarantees they retain their spot in Women’s Div 2 (West) in 2024/25

Elsewhere as the West Hockey League season came to a conclusion, our Men’s 2nd & both our 3rd XI’s all retained their league positions for next season, the Ladies 3s with a strong 3rd place finish and 100+ goals scored!!!
A shout out to our Men’s 4th XI who kept going all season in face of stern opposition in a tough division. Fingers crossed their commitment is rewarded with some kinder fixtures next year.

The fates of our Men’s 1st XI & Ladies 2nd XI (good and bad!) were decided before the final weekend. The Ladies 2s still rightly celebrating their promotion from Berkeley Div 2, while the Men’s 1s will be plotting an immediate return to the West Premier in 2025 after being relegated to North Division 1.

The club continues to produce home grown talent via its junior and youth programmes and this has, as ever, fed through into senior hockey with so many younger players making valuable contributions.
